Why Elite Edge HR exists

Our Story

Elite Edge HR was founded on a simple observation: the small and medium businesses that make up the backbone of Australia’s defence supply chain were being underserved by recruitment models designed for much larger organisations.

Defence primes have internal talent teams and established relationships with major agencies. But the manufacturers, engineering firms, and support businesses that supply into those primes — the SMEs actually building components, delivering services, and sustaining capability — were often left to compete for the same limited pool of security-cleared and technically skilled candidates, with fewer resources to do it.

We’re proud to play our part in strengthening Australia’s sovereign defence capability, one placement at a time.

Our Purpose

Our founders combined recruitment expertise with firsthand exposure to the defence and advanced manufacturing sectors, and built Elite Edge HR specifically to serve SMEs — businesses that need the same calibre of talent as the primes they supply, without the scale to run a large in-house recruitment function.
